We mine aggregates at the Elburz pit, deliver rocks, sand, gravel, and salt sand across Elko County and Northeastern Nevada, and we transport heavy construction, mining, and oversized loads nationwide.
Owning the source means consistent spec, dependable availability, and fair pricing. Whether it’s a driveway, subdivision, mine site, or highway staging area, we keep projects moving—on time, safely, and to spec.
Vega Construction & Trucking was founded in 1958 by Manuel and Amy Vega. Manuel, a World War II veteran who later served in the U.S. Army’s Military Police, worked as Superintendent at the City of Elko Water Department, and Amy worked as a bookkeeper. While holding those roles, they built the business together, with Amy running the office and Manuel leading field operations.
In 1984, they opened the Elburz gravel pit, which has supplied high-quality sand and gravel to Elko and Northern Nevada for more than 40 years.
Over the years, Vega Construction & Trucking has supported community projects such as the Crystal Theater, Train Park, Wildhorse Reservoir, and the Christian Center of Elko, and has contributed to nonprofits including Habitat for Humanity and the SnoBowl. Today, the family continues the work with the same standard: show up, work safely, keep your word.
We own and operate our quarry, so we control quality and availability from source to delivery. Our operation is MSHA compliant and follows all environmental regulations.
We provide aggregate delivery throughout Elko and Northern Nevada and provide long-distance equipment logistics to all 48 contiguous U.S. states.
