Vega Construction & Trucking has been proudly serving Northeastern Nevada for generations, founded on the legacy of longtime Elko resident and World War II veteran, Manuel Vega.
Born in 1926 on the Vega Ranch in North Fork, Manuel dedicated his life to hard work, family, and community service. After serving in the U.S. Army’s Military Police during WWII, Manuel returned home, married his wife Amy, and together they raised four children.
In 1958, they founded Vega Construction & Trucking — a company that continues to support the Elko community through high-quality construction materials and reliable trucking services.
Manuel worked for the City of Elko’s water department for 38 years, eventually serving as Superintendent. His deep knowledge of Elko’s infrastructure made him a key figure in city development.
Even in retirement, Vega Construction contributed to community projects like the Crystal Theater, Train Park, Wildhorse Reservoir, and Christian Center of Elko. They assisted in major demolitions and the building of the Northeastern Nevada Regional Railport.
From donating supplies to Habitat for Humanity and the SnoBowl, to supporting the Love Center, Vega Construction & Trucking has always been more than a business — it's a pillar of the Elko community.

Vega Construction & Trucking owns and operates our own quarry, giving us complete control over the quality and consistency of our aggregate materials. This vertical integration allows us to ensure every load meets our exacting standards while maintaining competitive pricing for our customers.
Our quarry operation is MSHA compliant and follows all environmental regulations. We mine and process 7 different types of aggregate materials, each carefully screened and tested to meet specific construction and landscaping requirements.
